The Friends of the Middlebury Library seek to focus public attention on the library, function as an advocate group for the library and foster the use of the library as a cultural center. Dues and fundraisers provide for special items and events beyond the scope of the town budget.
The Friends host special events including the annual book sale and programs for children and adults throughout the year.
The Friends welcome volunteers in many areas, including assisting in the library, maintaining library gardens, helping with the book sale and assisting at children’s story time programs.
The president is Chris Parker.
All are encouraged to join. Annual dues are $20 for individuals, $25 for families, $50 for businesses and $50 for patrons. Membership applications or additional information may be obtained from the Middlebury Public Library, 203-758-2634
